A Message From The Chairman
Welcome to the Malaysian Irish Business Network located here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and sponsored by one of Ireland’s leading companies, Kerry Ingredients.

MIBN is supported by the Irish Embassy and Enterprise Ireland and is connected to the two other Irish organizations in Malaysia.

The St. Patrick’s Society of Selangor is in its 88th year and organises many social events, including the best Ball in Asia, by all accounts. Nearly 1000 people attend each year and all proceeds go to charity.

The Orang Eire GAA Club is an active Gaelic games organization with a very busy schedule of training and games for men, women and children.

Between our three organizations we try to cater for most of the Irish residents needs as well as visiting Irish from anywhere in the world.

The MIBN has an active relationship also with Malaysian Government, Semi Government and Malaysian businesses and strives to be a conduit where necessary for Irish companies either operating here or planning to set up in Malaysia.

Every quarter, MIBN organizes a lunch event with a high profile speaker and also an evening networking evening for members and guests from other chambers and Malaysian businesses to interact.

Members receive newsletter updates on Malaysian and Irish Government happenings, including budget reports and tax affairs.

During 2012, MIBN organized the APIBF conference bringing into Malaysia 225 delegates resulting in a number of successful outcomes. The conference was the largest event held outside Ireland.

This year, MIBN once again hosts the APIBF 2013 and the event will be held on October 10th and 11th to accommodate the many requests from the 2012 delegates to hold a longer event this year. We will post the draft agenda in May.

The backbone of our organization are its members and I urge anyone residing here in Malaysia or doing business here to join.

I look forward to meeting you at one of our events soon.
